If you're driven and motivated, the world of business and management is a world of exciting opportunity!

There are a number of careers you could work towards in business and management, here are just a few:

As a Marketing Manager your responsibilities could include planning and directing the promotion of the company, positioning its brand, managing company public relations, organising and analysing market research, preparing marketing plans including budgets and monitoring customer satisfaction.

If you really enjoy dealing with people then you may well find yourself leaning towards Human Resources as a career. Working in Human Resources includes recruitment, placement, and training, managing staff relations and developing company policy.

As a Manager you will be the one who sets realistic goals for an organisation, ensures strategic and business plans are in place, monitors financial performance, takes care of risk management and provides leadership and motivation to employees.

Financial dynamics can make or break a business so as an Accountant your role in establishing, managing and monitoring financial reporting systems is vital. Your day could see you preparing budgets, plans and cash flow forecasts. Preparing accounts, statements, invoices and tax returns. Advising clients or management on financial reporting systems and processes. Even assisting chartered accountants with audits.

As an Entrepeneur or small business owner you’re the one who calls the shots. Your busy days could entail preparing and reviewing business plans and annual budgets, analysing the market to decide when to introduce new products or services, marketing, promoting, selling and collecting payment, hiring and training staff, maintaining records, ordering stock and monitoring cash flow.
