What's it all about?
This will give you a taste of what a career in Health can offer you. Experience a range of nursing activities in Wintec's School of Health simulated learning area. This area is set up as an actual hospital ward complete with computerised patient simulation models that assume real life health issues. During the day you will find out about the changing role of the nurse. You'll also learn about what studying occupational therapy or midwifery involves and a little about some of the diverse areas of practice they work in, with an opportunity to talk to lecturers and ask any questions. You'll also learn which subjects at secondary school will assist your application and success in the Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery & O/Therapy.
