Student advisors
Our experienced student engagement team is dedicated to providing advice and support to the community. We are available to help you make the right decision about your career pathway and future, whether you are navigating your school years and working out where you aspire to be, returning to study after time away, or looking to upskill in your current role.
We offer career conversations, talk you through subject and course choices, available pathways at Wintec, what student life on campus is like, and can navigate you through the application process to help you reach your study goals. We can help you understand scholarship and funding opportunities, what accommodation options best suit you, and how Wintec student support services connect with you throughout your study journey with us.

We regularly visit schools and careers advisors throughout the Waikato region to help students make informed decisions about their tertiary study aspirations and future career pathways. We can help your students explore everything from course selection to application at Wintec, and answer any questions they may have.

We travel to attend a range of off-campus expos and events. We are available to provide information, advice, and resources about what Wintec offers and how we support our students throughout their study journey.

What to expect
For expo stalls, our team are available to provide information displays about our subjects and programmes at Wintec, offer one-on-one study guidance, and can bring flyers and prospectuses for attendees to take away. For presentations, we can come to your school or organisation group for a 30-minute interactive talk on courses, career pathways, entry requirements, and how to get started. We can also provide application support on the day.
