What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?

Seeing good outcomes for our students, graduating students, supporting staff.

What do you love about your area?

The camaraderie, support from our group director and other managers, whakawhanaungatanga, the passion and drive for the work we do.

Tell us about your experience in the industry

In 2000 I competed Te Tonga Hoe – Certificate in Social Services.

 After completing the BAppSocSci – Te Whiuwhiu o te Hau Māori Counselling, I became a tutor for this programme.

From 2007 - 2019 was seconded to the Wintec Māori Counsellor position.

In 2020, I took up a tutor role for Social Practice.

In 2024 I accepted the current role as Social Practice Team Manager.
