What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?
I really enjoy being around students who, like me, are trying to figure out how to visually express ideas or feelings, or how to clearly communicate a client’s message. It feels like being part of a big creative team.
What do you love about your area?
Tell us about your experience in the industry
I worked for several years as a self-employed photographer in France, shooting weddings, music festivals, and short promotional videos for small local businesses all over the country.
I recently completed my Master of Arts at Wintec, where my photographic work explored the tension between the Romantic fantasy of New Zealand as a paradise and the complex realities of place.
What keeps you busy outside of Media Arts?
Lately, music and guitar have taken a bigger place in my life. I’ve played a few gigs over the summer for different musical projects (a drums/guitar duo, a live drum and bass project, and a solo live-looping guitar show).
