What do you enjoy most about being a tutor?

I really enjoy interacting with students and finding exciting new ways to facilitate learning. Each cohort is different and bring a new energy and areas of interest. I also enjoy seeing students gain new knowledge and develop throughout their time within our centre.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I am currently playing Ultimate Frisbee competitively and hoping to make a New Zealand team in 2020. It is a great sport that tests both your physical and tactical abilities. I also enjoy getting outdoors with my family and friends walking and biking on the many tracks around our region.

Can you tell me a little bit about your teaching philosophy?

My aim it to focus on sessions that are enjoyable and engaging. I also believe in the need for students to be invested and motivated in their own learning and development. I use a lot of questioning and discussion, and aim to facilitate learning rather than just dispense information.
