Automotive Engineering (Level 3)

About the programme

Rev-up your employment opportunities by studying the NZ Motor Industry. This course will give you fast-track access to a range of ever-changing and exciting automotive-related careers.

The course includes an introduction to basic light vehicle servicing, identifying faults and replacing components such as braking systems, cooling systems, driveline, steering and suspension. This hands-on course would suit people who are looking to enter the motor industry and will provide an overall understanding of motor vehicles.

Programme structure: One day per week (8.30am-3pm) during the school term.

Duration of programme: 31 weeks

Location: Rotokauri Campus, Hamilton.

Entry criteria: To move on to year two, you will need to have completed 80% of the available credits in year one. Candidates who do not meet this may be accepted at the discretion of the WTA.
