Futures that Work, Pacific Mental Health and Addiction Scholarship

Growing the size and skills of the Pacific workforce takes more than just financial support. It's also a combination of providing appropriate mentoring, coaching, cultural and pastoral care, as well as support in identifying employment and career pathways. That's why the Futures that Work three-step programme has been successful.

  • Get your fees paid - The maximum value of the scholarship is variable and paid directly to the tertiary provider.
  • Get your study sorted - Le Va's Teuila mentoring and coaching model helps identify the right support to complete your study on time.
  • Get your dream job - We'll help with planning your career in mental health or addiction.

Eligibility:
The Futures that Work Pacific Mental Health and Addiction Scholarships are open to those of Indigenous-Pacific descent currently enrolled in a NZQA accredited mental health-related qualification.

How to apply:
If you are interested in applying for the Futures that Work scholarship programme, please complete the eligibility questionnaire. You will receive a link to the application portal if you meet the criteria.

Addiction and Problem Gambling Harm Scholarship

From 2024, Le Va is administering a new Addiction and Problem Gambling Harm Scholarship, funded by Te Whatu Ora, intended to increase the capability and capacity of the workforce.

This scholarship is open to anyone studying towards a qualification that contributes to reducing harms from alcohol and other drugs and problem gambling.

Eligibility:
Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome to apply for our Addiction and Problem Gambling Harm Scholarship.
