Summary

The micro-credential programmes have been developed to meet specific needs within an industry, and are targeted to those working already within that industry. This current Wintec offering has been developed in conjunction with the automotive and personal lending industries to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge to meet the increasing need for best-practice, high-standard service.

The micro-credential series includes:

  • Personal Lending Skills (Automotive Industry)
  • Contractual Requirements (Automotive Industry)
  • Legal Context (Personal Lending)
While learners do not need to be working in the automotive industry, it is expected that most learners enrolling into these micro-credentials will be working in the industry and come with varying levels of knowledge and experience.

Personal Lending Skills (Automotive Industry)

The Personal Lending Skills (Automotive Industry) Micro-Credential will develop the knowledge and skills required for responsible lending in the automotive industry. Students will learn about the requirements of an agent working within industry frameworks including the duty of disclosure, client care, and managing conflicts of interest.

Contractual Requirements (Automotive Industry)

The Contractual Requirement (Automotive Industry) Micro-Credential will provide learners with the broad operational and theoretical knowledge of the automotive industry, and then identify and utilise appropriate techniques for clear and concise financial contracts.

Content will include: insurance, comprehensive cover, warranty coverage, guarantors, power of attorney, and how to prepare a contract.

Legal Context (Personal Lending)

The Legal Context (Personal Lending) Micro-Credential will help learners understand their legal requirements and obligations to work in the personal lending industry. While it is designed predominantly for people working in, or planning to work in, personal lending in any industry, it is anticipated that the majority of learners will be from the automotive industry, including motor vehicle dealerships and automotive finance companies.
