The GWNZ Susan Byrne Memorial Award

Background

The New Zealand Federation of Graduate Women Charitable Trust Susan Byrne Memorial Award was created to enable mature graduate women to retrain for a change of career in mid-life by furthering their studies at a New Zealand tertiary institution.

Eligibility

The applicant is a female degree graduate, who:

• Is 35 years of age at the time applications close 
• Is enrolled for post-graduate study or research at an approved tertiary institution in New Zealand or overseas
• Is a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

• Career of change; preference is given to study in an area which is non-traditional for women
• Academic profile
• Achievements
• Financial circumstances
• Potential impact
