Health Services

Health Services update – Alert Level 1

Wintec Health Services at the City and Rotokauri campuses will continue to operate at Alert Level 1, but it's important you phone first to make an appointment on 07 834 8869. The nurse will triage your health needs over the phone, and if required, you will be asked to come into the clinic for a face to face consultation or offered a phone consultation.

The team can provide care for urgent issues, management of long-term conditions, mental health issues, repeat prescriptions, and treatment of common illnesses.

We ask all patients to not present to the clinics if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Sore throat,
  • fever,
  • muscle aches,
  • cough or,
  • shortness of breath.

Kia ora, are you studying or working at Wintec?

The on-campus Wintec Health Services are available to assist and support you with your physical and mental wellbeing.

Wintec Health Services is a nurse-led practice. This means that our nurses are specially trained to provide you with a high level of care.

When you make an appointment with the Health Services, you will speak to or have an appointment with a nurse who will assess your needs, provide health care and/or book your time with a doctor.

All Wintec students can register with us, meaning we will become your primary health care provider. Registered students then pay subsidised rates for doctor or nurse services.

Find out how to become a registered patient by popping into either the City or Rotokauri clinic or contacting us using the details below. We recommend registering before your first appointments we will have enough time to receive medical records from your previous medical clinic.
