Counselling is a free, confidential service that allows you to discuss your concerns and emotions in a safe place. Wintec counsellors are here to listen without judgement and can help you explore ways of dealing with life’s challenges.

Youthline

Youthline works with young people, their families and those supporting young people. Our organisations are made up of volunteer and paid staff members - and we have centres based across the country.

Lifeline

Whatever the issue, we’re here to listen. We’re committed to providing a safe, effective and confidential service to support the emotional and mental wellbeing of our callers and communities.
Calls and text messages are answered by qualified counsellors and well-trained volunteers.
Volunteers undergo world-class counselling training and supervision, providing a caring and professional service to a wide range of people in need. They deal with many kinds of issues including psychological and emotional distress, financial and work issues, marriage and family problems and with callers who are lonely, ill, depressed or the victims of violence or abuse.

The Lowdown

The Lowdown team are an experienced group of counsellors, who are available 24/7 so you can contact us anytime by email or text.

Your message will be answered by one of our team, who will ask you a little bit about yourself and your situation so they can find the best way to help you. (You are not always guaranteed to get the same staff member).

We’ll work with you to find the support you need, we might ask about your feelings and what is happening for you, but our trained staff are there to provide a safe space for you to share and they will give you the time and space that you need to talk if you want to.
