All Covid-19 requirements have been removed. It is no longer mandatory to isolate or wear a face mask when visiting healthcare facilities. Some facilities may still ask you to wear a face mask, and we ask you to respect their wishes to protect those at higher risk. Find the latest Government updates here.

NCEA results are out and enrolment is open for 2021

The wait is finally over for NCEA results and it’s not too late to enrol at Wintec for tertiary study in 2021.

Wintec has timed a series of free information sessions for people who want more information on their study options at campuses in Hamilton City, Rotokauri, Ōtorohanga, Thames and Raglan.

The whānau-friendly sessions cover a range of study options available at each campus and people can meet tutors, ask questions, tour the campuses, and even enrol on the day:

  • Ōtorohanga Regional Hub, 128 - 130 Maniapoto Street, Ōtorohanga
    Thursday 21 January, 4 - 5pm Career Guidance Workshop and 5pm – 6pm Information Session:
    Enrolled Nursing, Business Level 3 and 4, NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services).

  • Thames Regional Hub, 414 Queen Street, Thames
    Thursday 21 January, 4 - 5pm Career Guidance Workshop and 5pm – 6pm Information Session: Enrolled Nursing, NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services), Basic Computing, Food Safety for Food Operators, Licence Controller Seminar (Hospitality).

    Monday 25 January, 10am-12pm, Information Session: Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services) and Enrolled Nursing.

  • Wintec Hamilton City Campus, The Atrium, Corner Anglesea and Ward Street, Hamilton, Wednesday 27 January 3.30 - 5.00pm Information Session: Business, Business Administration, Information Technology, Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Counselling, Health and Wellbeing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Early Childhood Education, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, English, Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology, Science, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Spatial Design, Communications, Journalism, Music and Performing Arts,  Foundation Studies, Beauty Therapy, and Hairdressing.
  • Raglan Campus, Whaingaroa Ki Te Whenua Kōkiri Centre, 86 Riria Kereopa Memorial Drive, Raglan, Wednesday 27 January4.30-5.30pm: Find out how you can get your career started in the arboriculture (tree care) industry for free.

The first year of study is fees-free for most New Zealanders, however there are other options and subsidies available to make studying towards a career possible. Find out about your eligibility and the range of options to study for free at Wintec.
