  • The Wintec graduate building a career promoting New Zealand’s biggest stars

    No two days are the same for Morgan Ellis, whose career involves promoting some of New Zealand’s biggest stars and most exciting events. The Wintec alumna has worked with household names including Six60, Below Deck’s Aeesha Scott, and Laneway Festival in her role as lead publicist for Auckland-based public relations (PR) agency 818.

  • Wintec widely involved in BNZ Theatre opening night

    From directing and composing to performing on stage and carrying out technical jobs behind the scenes, Wintec staff, students, and alumni are widely involved in the official opening of Hamilton’s newest arts attraction.

  • One hundred and twenty birds’ nests roosting at Wintec

    The latest art installation to temporarily call Wintec’s Ramp Gallery home includes 120 abandoned birds’ nests. Titled Being and Non-being by Artist Julia Christey, the piece consists of repurposed nests ironically suspended from a product intended as anti-bird netting.

Tour the Wintec City campus 

Explore the Wintec City campus with guided tours, running every half-hour. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the study spaces for your specific area/s of interest, get to know some of the staff members, and get to know more about life on campus.  

Each tour will run for approximately thirty minutes.

Interested in a course that is based at the Wintec Rotokauri Campus? We recommend attending the Rotokauri Campus Information Session 2026 alongside the Hamilton City Campus Open Day. 

All are welcome to attend, whether you're coming as a school group or on your own. Ask pātai (questions), explore your options, and take the guesswork out of what comes next.

*Please note that there is limited parking on campus, as this is mainly reserved for students during business hours. The Wintec campus is a 5-minute walk from the transport centre if you are considering utilising public transport. Learn more about which bus to catch on the Busit website. Alternatively, we recommend finding parking in town and walking into campus to ensure you can find a parking space.
