South Asian partnership provides transnational tech pathway with Wintec
Wintec continues to strengthen its presence overseas, partnering with India’s Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology and overseas education consultancy MSM Unify to open a new pathway for international learners.
The transnational programme allows information technology (IT) students enrolled with Sahrdaya College in India to seamlessly transfer their academic credits from their postgraduate studies to a master’s degree with Wintec in New Zealand.

Following the completion of a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science and Intelligent Systems in India with Sahrdaya College, covering core areas including artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, students can advance to Wintec’s globally recognised Master of Applied Information Technology.
Girish Nair, Wintec International Director, met with representatives from both education organisations in Kerala, India, earlier this month to officially confirm the launch of the programme.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Sahrdaya College and MSM Unify on this programme. It broadens pathways for international students and deepens the educational connections between our institutions,” said Girish.
“This collaboration also paves the way for joint research projects, faculty development workshops, and staff exchanges. It encourages best practice sharing of resources, cross-cultural understanding, and enriched programme delivery in both New Zealand and India.”

Demand for the programme is strong, with interest among recent engineering graduates and early-career professionals in India already showing.
