Summary

Use Mātauranga Māori to help design principled-based solutions throughout the business world and wider community.

Our unique Māori worldview, language and culture is a significant point of difference, recognised internationally. Mātauranga Māori (traditional Māori knowledge) has made immense contributions to designing principled-based solutions throughout business industries and the wider community.

Developed with tangata whenua in mind, the Graduate Diploma in Māori Enterprise is designed for anyone who is interested in Māori enterprise. To ensure flexibility, classes are set outside of business hours and designed to suit around your employment, whānau and life commitments.

What you will learn

This programme is available full or part-time and focuses on Māori values, practices and perspectives on organisations, business and industry.

You will study five core modules and one elective that covers topics such as the relevance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in organisational contexts, roles and functions of tikanga advocacy and models of iwi, hapū, marae, and Māori enterprise governance. The industry project will allow you to be hands-on and apply your theory to practice in a workplace context.
