On successful completion of this course, aakonga will be able to:

1. Critically analyse the development of Maaori enterprise from pre-colonial contact including restraining and enabling factors.
2. Critically evaluate exemplar Maaori enterprises to identify and analyse success indicators locally, nationally and internationally.
3. Critically evaluate resource acquisition practices.
4. Design and justify a Maaori enterprise operational practice enhancement.

Assessment Criteria
Assessment methods will be a portfolio – aakonga will provide evidence of maatauranga and tikanga in action by methods including written, video, or journal.

A Portfolio of Evidence will include a variety of assessments. These may include but are not limited to written assessments, case studies, reports, presentations, tests, examinations, and practical assessments.
Teaching and Learning Strategy
Learning and teaching methods will develop broad technical or theoretical knowledge, and select and apply solutions to mainly familiar problems using a range of relevant processes. Students will be self-managing within defined contexts and have some responsibility for the learning and performance of others.

A number of strategies will be used including:
Lectures, discussion, noho marae and self- evaluation
Case studies, Brainstorming, discussion and debate
