Baking and Cookery
Become a culinary professional and follow in the footsteps of Aotearoa New Zealand's many culinary stars with a Wintec qualification in culinary, cookery or baking.
Our culinary, cookery, and baking programmes will prepare you to work as a cook, chef, or baker in a commercial kitchen. Guided by industry professional tutors, you will learn a variety of skills, such as preparing, cooking, and presenting a broad range of dishes. You will also develop a deep understanding of sustainable practices to ensure you are current with industry cuisine trends, as well as many other essential skills needed to succeed in the industry.
Windows, our prized student-run training restaurant, is a fully functioning, licensed training restaurant serving paying public guests. Studying hospitality or cookery at Wintec means you will get real-world, hands-on, practical experiences learning at Windows in two large commercial kitchens and a production kitchen.
