This FREE course is designed to help you prepare for success.​​

Are you new to study, or still considering your options? Or do you want to brush up on your existing skills?

Any one of our courses will set you up with a solid foundation to help guide your journey.

Our course covers a wide range of topics, from writing essays to managing your time as a student. Wintec has some fantastic resources, and we are committed to help you use all of them in your future. We also help orient yourself with our Wintec city campus, and you’ll get to meet people who are starting back at study, just like you! Come along and set yourself up for success right from the start.

Te Kete Kōnae, our Māori and Pasifika Learning Centre, also holds Writing and Study Skills courses, depending on student numbers. These are run concurrently, but with Māori and Pasifika cultural values and teaching practices underpinning the course.

How to find your way around

Wintec Pōwhiri/Nau mai, haere mai

Wintec extends a warm invitation to all new students to attend a Pōwhiri to welcome the semester ahead. After formalities, light refreshments will be served in the marae dining room, Te Kōpū Mānia o Kirikiriroa, Wintec City Campus.
