I chose the Master of Arts in Communication at Wintec because it blends academic knowledge with practical, real-world experience. Through this program, I have deepened my expertise in branding and marketing while working on hands-on projects guided by supportive tutors. Wintec stood out for because it allows great flexibility with the independent research study option, which allows me to grow academically while applying my skills in professional environments. I am juggling both study and work, but I appreciate the opportunity to apply the academic skills I have learned directly in a real-world professional setting. It has been an ideal environment to strengthen my expertise and further develop my career.
What sets Wintec apart is its emphasis on practical learning and that the campus is well-equipped with advanced facilities. The Master of Arts in Communication, in particular, provides excellent resources and support, in terms of technology and guidance from the staffs. The administrative staff at the Communication department has been very helpful from the start of the course and is approachable, always willing to guide me. For international students, Wintec provides a truly welcoming environment with cultural events, field trips, and opportunities to connect with peers from around the world.
Living in Hamilton and exploring the Waikato region has also been a unique part of my journey. Hamilton is located in the centre of Northern Island, which allows students to travel easily to other locations. I believe Hamilton is the perfect city for students as it is an affordable city to live in and perfect balance of urban convenience and outdoor adventures.
Thanks to my education at Wintec and the opportunities I’ve had to develop digital marketing skills, I feel well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to communities both locally and in my home country. My education here has not only strengthened my skills in digital media and marketing but also given me the confidence to pursue opportunities that create impact across cultures."
