Design Factory NZ Director

Very proud to take on the role of Director for The Design Factory, she’s excited about what’s in store for the groups of students and Industry partners that co-create in the Design Factory. Being at the forefront of innovative teaching, with a staff of dedicated professionals behind her, Margi feels like there’s nothing can stop the Design Factory  from  making an impact on education and never before seen at Wintec, finding innovative solutions to some of the complex problems the world is facing.

Margi was Head of School for Media Arts for 14 years, a vibrant mix of disciplines such as Music, Design and Visual Arts, which sent many creative students out into the world to become major successes. 

The Design Factory  here at Wintec is a new initiative based on a global strategy.  Working closely with Design Factory Melbourne and the Global Design Factory Network her aim is to continue to build The Design Factory NZ to benefit students, industry partners and the region (And sure, to do this  she had to attend a bootcamp in Finland where she had an awesome time, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the greater good.)
