Adults Returning to Study Workshop
Join us for this workshop where we will help you discover career and study options, find out what to expect when returning to study, learn about finance options, and how you can get started.
Occupational Therapists help give people their independence back as they assist and encourage them to overcome physical difficulties. They plan and direct therapy treatment, help with daily tasks, adapt equipment and housing for easier use, educate family, help set realistic goals and provide the support needed to reach them. For a patient with physical difficulties, even one small step inspires a sense of achievement.
Study will combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning in real healthcare environments. Students will have the chance to care for their own patients and learn about the industry through putting classroom learning into practice.
Applicants who don't meet the entry requirements to the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy may choose to study Te Ara Pūtake My Academic Pathway (Health Pathway) to help prepare them for enrolment in the degree programme.
Please check the entry criteria for each programme to see which course is the best level for you to begin with. The entry criteria information can be found on each of the programme pages here online. You can also contact us directly to discuss the appropriate level for you at info@wintec.ac.nz.
In the Centre for Health and Social Practice we provide practical interprofessional education that prepares students for a future in the health and social practice industry.
