- - Hair setting techniques and physical factors influencing finished styles.
- Setting and dressing short hair for volume and follow-up actions.
- Selecting and recommending shampoo, conditioning and styling products.
- Client care, consultations and hair services.
- Retail promotion and sales.
- Elementary hair setting; techniques and follow up actions.
- Professional practice attributes: reliability, punctuality, time management, effective
communication skills, personal presentation and self-styling, interpersonal skills, adaptability,
creativity, teamwork, customer service.
- Compliance with health, safety, hygiene and environmental policies in the salon
environment. - Teaching and Learning Strategy
- Practical, theoretical, face to face, and on-line Moodle sessions including; lectures, tutorials, discussion, group activities, self-directed learning, practical workshops in training salons, inquiry-based learning, and project-based learning.

- Assessment in this module is competency based. To pass this module students must meet all the requirements of the assessment tasks.
