Identify culturally safe care, informed by Te Tiriti o Waitangi through collaboration with individuals, whanau, and interprofessional teams to provide. 3. Apply principles of cultural safety and cultural openness to support responsive and inclusive care in complex healthcare contexts. 4. Reflect on practice to evaluate the impact of nursing interventions in complex care settings. .
- Content
- Clinical practicum in acute and complex care including medical and surgical settings. Hauora is a Maori concept of well-being, which encompasses the physical, mental and emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of health, and is recognised by the World Health Organisation.
- Assessment Criteria
- The portfolio is comprised of a Clinical competence assessment. To pass this module, students must complete a minimum of 224 hours of clinical practicum, meet all learning outcomes, and pass each clinical competency aligned with the allocated Nursing Council Pou.
