- 1. Apply foundational hauora and nursing assessment knowledge across the lifespan to support safe, person- and whanau-centred care. 2. Demonstrate safe, ethical, and culturally responsive nursing practice in a simulated learning environment . 3. Practice whakawhanaungatanga and manaakitanga in a simulated environment to develop communication skills and build therapeutic relationships.

- Privacy and confidentiality Technology in healthcare Hauora models of care Essential nursing skills Introduction to medication management and drug calculations Personal Awareness/Safety/Wellbeing/Trauma Introduction to infection prevention and control Theory and skills required to undertake a systematic hauora assessment across the lifespan. Whakawhanaungatanga Therapeutic relationships Hauora is a Maori concept of well-being, which encompasses the physical, mental and emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of health, and is recognised by the World Health Organisation.
- Assessment Criteria
- The portfolio is comprised of multiple components. To pass this module, students must meet all learning outcomes and gain a minimum mark of 50% in each component.
