Prescription
The purpose of this module is to introduce the student to microbiological techniques such as the care and use of a microscope, aseptic techniques, mounting samples, bacterial cultivation and growth. Other topics also included are eucaryotic and procaryotic cell structure, and control of microbial growth. In addition, students will also be made aware of the potential hazards and the safety procedures, quality assurance and quality control in a microbiology laboratory.
