The aim of this module is to provide the student with an opportunity to participate in a supervised placement experience so as to; observe and to be given the opportunity to undertake basic social work roles and tasks and to put theories and concepts learned in other modules into practice; experience safe professional practice working within specific professional standards; analyse the role of social work/social service provision; and to develop organisational, time management & teamwork skills
