Prescription
To develop a conceptual framework for the use of e-Portfolios in the classroom. To use this framework as a basis for exploring the ways in which e-Portfolios can be used to support the learning process in the classroom. Students will research the use of e-Portfolios in the classroom and develop their own e-Portfolio example for use in the classroom. The educational theory and pedagogy behind e-Portfolio use in the classroom will be researched and practiced in an online environment.

1.The theories, principles and practices behind the effective use of e-Portfolios in an educational environment.
2.To explore the digital tools and web 2.0 tools that can be used with the e-Portfolios.
3.To develop and deliver a e-Portfolio that utilises effective educational use of e-Portfolios.
4.To reflect on the personal learning journey regarding the understanding and implementation of an e-Portfolio.
5.To investigate the web 2.0 tools and e-Portfolios that are available on the internet to support the assessment and reflective teaching practice.
6.Issues regarding the use of Web 2.0 tools and e-Portfolios are investigated and discussed with peers.
Learning Outcomes
1.To critically evaluate the main theoretical perspectives that informs teaching and learning practices with e-Portfolio use.
2.To develop and use a sample e-Portfolio in the educational context.
3.To reflect on the student's own personal development in the effective use of an e-Portfolio.
4.To discuss with peers the issues involved in the implementation of the effective use of the e-Portfolio in the classroom.
5.To explore the web 2.0 tools that are available to support the e-Portfolio use in the classroom.
