Learning Outcomes
1. Critique and evaluate the role of positive organisational behaviour, theories and practices,
in enhancing organisational strategy, flourishing, growth and change.

2. Critically examine the drivers and enablers of positive organisational strategy, and identify
future key issues in enhancing the positive dimensions of organisation development and
change.

3. Analyse and evaluate the feasibility of differing positive organisational practises and
theories, and scrutinise their appropriateness in various organisations and industries.

4. Critically evaluate positive organisational practices and theories at a team and an
individual level, in enhancing flourishing at work.

5. Investigate, apply and evaluate interventions designed to enhance positive
organisational behaviour.
Content
This paper consists of six topics:-
- Emerging trends in Positive Organisational Behaviour (POB).
- Strategic and environmental influences on POB.
- Theories, research and practices designed to enhance flourishing, growth and change at
the organisational level.
- Theories, research and practices designed to enhance flourishing, growth and change at
the team and individual level.
- Positive organisational strategies and activities.
- Organisation interventions for flourishing in organisations, and the evaluation of their
effectiveness at industry, organisation and individual levels.
Teaching and Learning Strategi
Teaching will involve a range of blended delivery methods through lectures and presentations; research published in leading journals; videos/DVDs; chat notes; discussion of contemporary industry management practice in the service sector; reflective practice; observation of strategic services management practice from visits to service organisations; on-line delivery and applied student work.
