This course provides the opportunity for students to be guided step-by-step in integrating the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme, and extending these, by conducting and reporting on a small scale or desk based research project.

· sourcing relevant information and reviewing the literature
· inquiry in practice (e.g. evaluating a problem process or audit)

· evaluating and synthesising information and/or data
· reporting on findings in a scholarly manner
Learning Outcomes
LO1 - Plan and conduct a small-scale or desk-based research project.
LO2 - Critically analyse data and/or information and develop recommendations accordingly.
L03 - Present findings in a scholarly manner.
Assessment Criteria
In order to pass this course, the student must
· participate in guidance sessions,
· interact with their supervisor on a regular basis, and
· achieve a minimum of 50% for their independent scholarly project report.
