Implement a work program across operational areas on an amenity site in accordance with organisational requirements
Content
-Oversee actions and milestones
-Contingency implementation, recommend and report amendments to programs
-Efficient use of resources, recommendations to improve efficiencies
-Asset use and condition monitoring and reporting
-Effective communication; written and oral, with both internal and external stakeholders, giving and receiving feedback
-Relationship management; within and between teams in operational areas, to sustain workplace productivity
-Work program including seasonal management plans for;
oPlanting (plants and/or trees) including plant identification, selection, and bedding changes where relevant for the site
oPlant maintenance; pruning, mowing, fertiliser, irrigation
oPest and disease control; IPM, pest and disease identification, monitoring, control (biological, chemical, cultural)
oWeed control; identification, control (biological, chemical, cultural)
oSoil management; bed preparation, drainage, mulching
oWaste management; collection, mulching, disposal
oAmenity turf management; establishment, care, maintenance
oHard asset maintenance; paths, fences
Teaching and Learning Strategy
Theoretical face-to-face and online sessions including tutorials, workshops, group activities, discussion, workbooks, independent learning, and assignments.
Assessment Criteria
Assessment in this module is competency-based. In order to pass this module, students must attempt and meet all the requirements of the competency-based assessments including carrying out all tasks in a safe manner and to industry standard
