- Use a throw ball and line to set climbing lines above 10 metres.
Use climbing lines and harness to ascend and descend clear stemmed trees.
Set climbing lines for branch walking and branch walk.
Undertake an aerial rescue in an arboriculture situation.
Supervise and provide instruction to other team members. - Content
- -Throwline equipment and connecting knots.
-Climbing lines and identified roping points.
-Lanyards and harnesses.
-Secure anchor points and descending techniques.
-Climbing difficult stems or trunks over 10 metres.
-Branch walking branches with obstacles and over 10 metres above ground.
-Identification and use of secondary roping or re-direction points including creation of suitable anchors within a tree for safe working positions.
-Aerial rescue system above 10m.
-Supervision of arboricultural crews and provision of instructions to other team members
-Professional practice attributes: sustainable practices; effective communication skills; professional and ethical behaviour; teamwork; accurate record-keeping. - Assessment Criteria
