- Demonstrate knowledge of and implement safety requirements for felling and limbing trees.
Assess felling areas and trees to be felled.
Use a chainsaw to make felling cuts and limb felled trees.
Demonstrate knowledge of a chainsaw cutting unit.
Check and maintain a chainsaw, and sharpen a chainsaw chain.
Supervise and provide instruction to other team members. - Content
- -Situations requiring felling techniques and the safety requirements for those techniques.
-Felling techniques and the uses of different felling cuts.
-Felling sequences for side, backward, and forward leaning trees.
-Wedges used to assist tree felling in desired direction.

- Teaching and learning methods will be face to face delivery including workshops, project based interactive tasks, with group sessions, tutorials, and creation of portfolios of evidence.
