-Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996
-Obligations and liabilities of Approved Handler Certification
-HSNO Act regulations, purpose, principles, offence provisions, defence provisions, penalties, liabilities, compliance order
-Classification systems; properties, classes, subclasses, hazard classification, controls
-Principles of NZS8409:2004; risk management, responsibility, information, sources, documentation and licencing, tracking, competency or user
-Land transportation of agrichemicals; responsibilities, requirements, dangerous goods, emergencies, competency of transporter, maximum transport quantities
-Storage of agrichemicals; responsibility, competency, suitable facilities

Teaching and Learning Strategy
Theoretical face-to-face and online sessions including tutorials, workshops, group activities, discussion, workbooks, independent learning, and assignments.
Assessment Criteria
Assessment in this module is competency-based. In order to pass this module, students must attempt and meet all the requirements of the competency-based assessments including carrying out all tasks in a safe manner and to industry standard.
