Theoretical face-to-face and online sessions including workbooks, lectures, workshops, group practical activities, discussion, independent learning, and assignments centred on project based learning.

-Manual and automatic irrigation systems, features and functions; trickle, moveable sprinkler, fixed sprinkler, pop ups, soak hose, automatic timer, sensory system
-Fertilisers and soil amendments; sustainability and applications
-Tree stakes and ties, inspection, maintenance, removal
-Tree and shrub guards and surrounds, inspection, repair, replacement, maintenance, removal; grates, guards, wind cloth, surrounds
-Pruning equipment; secateurs, pole loppers, loppers, pruning saw; suitability for given task
-Pruning equipment cleaning, sharpening, repair, oiling, manufacturers recommendations
-Tree training and responses; espalier, hedging, multistem, pleaching, pollarding, single leader
