Short Course Overview
To develop a conceptual framework for the use of mLearning in the classroom. To use this framework as a basis for exploring the ways in which mLearning can be used to support the learning process in the classroom.

Students will research the use of mLearning in the classroom. Students will demonstrate the use of a portable device in the classroom for communicating and the use of applications for learning. The educational theory and pedagogy behind mLearning use in the classroom will be researched and discussed in an online environment.
Content
1. The theories, principles, pedagogy and practices behind the effective use of mLearning devices in an educational environment.
2. To explore the digital tools, apps and web 2.0 tools that can be used with the mLearning devices. 3. To develop and deliver a presentation that reflects on effective educational use of mLearning.
3. To reflect on the personal learning journey regarding the understanding and implementation of the use of mLearning in the educational context.
4. To research and discuss case studies and literature behind effect use of mLearning devices in education.
5. Issues regarding the use of mLearning devices and Web 2.0 tools are investigated and discussed with peers in an online environment.

1. Identify, explain and critically evaluate the main theoretical perspectives that inform teaching and learning practices with mLearning use in an educational environment
2. Through experimentation with a phone/device, examine a variety of applications that will encourage mLearning in an educational co
