Prescription
Discussion and analysis of media texts always takes place within the framework of assumptions about human nature, the nature of knowledge, and the relationship between the individual, society and the media. This module surveys developments in media structures and technology, and their impact on society. It also aims to familiarise the student with a selection of theoretical perspectives, enabling them to conduct their own media studies analysis with a coherent framework.
