This module introduces students to the contexts in which media are produced in New Zealand. Key concepts and developments in public and private media are explored. Students are introduced to legal and interpretive issues operating in a contemporary New Zealand context, including case studies, visits, seminars, analytical writing and discussion, directed and self-directed workshops and lectures.
