Demonstrate understanding of pasture production methods used to feed livestock.
Implement a pastoral livestock feeding plan.
Content
-Managing pasture to maximise feed quantity and quality.
-Pasture maintenance and renovation.
-Geed crops in a pastoral system.
-Calculating daily and weekly feed allowances according to feeding plan requirements.
-Monitoring and reporting on pasture quality and quantity and livestock body condition.
-Adapting feeding practices based on measurements of pasture quantity and estimates of pasture quality.
-Optimising quantity, quality and utilisation of pasture to ensure soil and pasture sustainability.

Teaching and Learning Strategy
Face to face delivery, including lectures, workshops, and tutorials and small group sessions, either on site or through methods such as interactive video conferencing. Flexible and blended delivery modes will be used which best meet the requirements of the learner and the learning outcomes.
