Some possible outcomes
On completion of this course the student will be able to:
1.Interpret landscape plans, creating specifications and schedules for quantities of plants and materials, and determine the work order for a simple landscape installation.
2.Complete a site safety analysis of a new (undeveloped) site and recognise and locate unmapped features (eg underground services, drainage etc)
3.Set out a landscape project on site and assist in the help with installation
4.Describe the range of landscape materials, products and services available in the Waikato region and identify suppliers.
5.Plan and manage resources on site,
6.Describe the communication process to ensure appropriate subcontractors are available within budget - Content
- Simple specifications and standards of work, Quantities/Schedules of plants and materials.
Substitution of plants and materials.

- Teaching and learning methods will include theory classes, tutorial sessions, practical sessions, group projects, written assignments, oral & practical and written tests.

- Students must attempt all assessments and Students need to attain a mark of 50 or above in their overall grade to obtain a pass this course
