"My name is Arthit, and I am an IT teacher at Khon Kaen Vocational College in Thailand. This was my first time in New Zealand, but it is not my first time working with Wintec. I have been collaborating with Wintec teachers for the past five years through the "Train the Trainer" short course programme. Wintec staff have visited Thailand to train our teachers, and during that time, I heard about the offshore training programme in New Zealand.

This year, Vocational Education announced that there would be training in New Zealand for 10 students to gain hands-on experience in AI. I was excited and committed to selecting the 10 students, and I was fortunate to also be chosen as one of the participants in this programme.

Through this programme, I have learned a lot about teaching pedagogy and methodologies. I discovered many similarities in how we teach, especially in how we reflect on our teaching practices based on student feedback and adjust our methods accordingly. I also gained practical experience with AI. The first topic Wintec provided was about the responsibility of using AI, which impressed me deeply. AI has both advantages and disadvantages, and it's crucial that we use it ethically and responsibly. This insight is very important and valuable not only for me but also for our students.

I would highly recommend this Wintec programme to everyone. Here, I have gained experience not only in AI but also in industry practices. Wintec has access to high-tech industry partners and an incubation centre that prepares both students and teachers to become entrepreneurs in AI technology.
