Competition Terms and Conditions 

How it works  
 
  1. Competition duration: 1pm Friday 13 June 2025 to 7.30pm Saturday 14 June 2025.
  2. To enter the draw to win a prize, you must:
    1. Attend the Tainui Secondary Schools Kapa Haka and Kai Festival 2025.
    2. Complete and submit the online registration form at the event that confirms that you wish to be entered into this competition and agree with these Competition Terms and Conditions; and
    3. Not be a current member of staff at Wintec Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (“Te Pūkenga”), which includes any of its Business Divisions; 
  3. Entries for this prize draw close 7.30pm Saturday 14 June 2025.
  4. The winner will be drawn at random (using a method Wintec Te Pūkenga considers appropriate) the week of  Monday 16 June 2025 by a delegated member of Wintec Te Pūkenga (the “Judge”).
  5. The winner will receive a UE Wonderboom and Wintec Merchandise Pack.
  6. The winner will be notified by email and must confirm acceptance of the prize by return email within 3 working days.  If the prize is not accepted in the manner indicated, another winner will be drawn by random (using a method Wintec Te Pūkenga considers appropriate) by the Judge.
  7. Prizes will be available to collect from the City Campus or sent to the winner via courier to their stated address. Courier details will be confirmed with the winner when they have emailed to confirm acceptance of the prize.

General  
 
  1. Entrants who are eligible to participate in the competition will only receive one entry into the competition (regardless of how many times an entrant submits a form entry).
  2. By entering this competition, you:
    1. Give Wintec Te Pūkenga permission to contact you via email for the purposes of the competition.
    2. Accept any determination of the Judge in relation to the competition as final and conclusive. Challenges will not be responded to, and no correspondence will be entered into.
    3. Accept that prizes are not exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  3. Wintec Te Pūkenga takes no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude, the competition due to equipment or technical malfunction, inadvertent disconnection, force majeure or otherwise.   
  4. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wintec Te Pūkenga will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury because of competition entry or winning the competition prizes. 
  5. All entrants: 
    1. Acknowledge that entrants’ information is provided to Wintec Te Pūkenga.
  6. All entrants: 
    1. Acknowledge this competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Ultimate Ears.
    2. Acknowledge that entrants’ information is provided to Wintec Te Pūkenga, and not to Ultimate Ears.
    3. Release Ultimate Ears from any liability arising from or in connection with the competition, to the fullest extent permitted by law. 
  7. Wintec Te Pūkenga reserves the right to: 
    1. Change these Competition Terms and Conditions (as reasonable) at any time without notice.
    2. Amend, vary, extend, or discontinue the competition at any stage, for any reason.
    3. Substitute a prize to another of similar value in the event of unavailability. 
  8. Wintec Te Pūkenga reserves the right to refuse to award a prize to any entrant Wintec Te Pūkenga considers (in its absolute discretion) has violated these Competition Terms and Conditions, gained an unfair advantage in participating in the competition, or has won using fraudulent means. 
  9. These Competition Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Privacy  

  1. All entrant personal details will be held by Wintec Te Pūkenga in accordance with Te Pūkenga Privacy Policy and these Competition Terms and Conditions.
  2. By participating in the competition, entrants give Wintec Te Pūkenga permission to use their name for the purpose of running the competition and for marketing purposes in connection with the competition (for example, the name of winner of the competition may be published on a Wintec Te Pūkenga website, a newsletter or in other promotional material related to the competition). The entrant waives any claim to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.  

Acceptance  

  1. Participation in the competition is deemed to be acceptance of these Competition Terms and Conditions.
