Wintec provides relevant and practical skills that will open doors in the world of hairdressing.
Hairdressers consult with clients about the style or cut they want. They wash, colour, and blow wave clients' hair; advise on products and treatments for hair and scalp; and clean and sanitise equipment. Wintec hairdressing students will also be involved in learning how to run a salon while keeping sustainable and economic practices in mind.

Hair and beauty sit within the School of Media Arts faculty and is strategically placed to meet the needs of learners, graduates, and industry; regionally, nationally, and internationally. Wintec educators pride themselves in their association with industry
