Career Choices Day
Explore your interests, gain career advice and get help choosing the right programme for you at Career Choices Day. This event is a great opportunity to receive career guidance and learn about pathway options.
With agriculture, particularly dairy farming, being the largest industry in the Waikato, there are plenty of opportunities to create an exciting career in food production. At Wintec, we work with the Primary ITO and Dairy Training Ltd and Dairy NZ to deliver programmes to meet the needs of the agricultural sector.
The Wintec agriculture and agribusiness programmes may be suitable for students who are farm owners or managers or are looking to get started in dairy, sheep, beef or horticultural agribusiness.
Students can focus their learning in a variety of areas, including day-to-day management of pastures, feed budgeting, mating, milk harvesting, and benchmarking. Students can grow their skills in agribusiness areas such as staff, financial and environmental management.
To check what you need to gain entry to a course, review the entry criteria available on each programme page. These assist you in understanding what qualifications or experience are typically required to gain entry. You can contact our team at info@wintec.ac.nz or 0800 2 Wintec at any time for further guidance.
The Wintec Prospectus (otherwise known as a course guide) outlines everything you need to know about Wintec. It contains information about the Wintec campuses, student life, and the programmes that are on offer.
