        Prescription
            This module aims to develop writing skills required to convey simple information of immediate relevance at a CEFR mid B1 level.  It will enable students to write simple connected texts such as personal letters describing experiences, feelings and events, and simple texts for practical purposes.

- Write straightforward connected texts on a range of familiar topics.
 Write narratives and descriptions on straightforward topics using connected paragraphs.
 Write short simple texts for practical purposes, for example instructions, reports, sequence of events, and/or articles.

 •Spelling of the majority of common words and key words relating to work, study and leisure interests
 •proofreading written work, correcting errors
 •punctuation in formal and informal texts
 •basic grammatical structures, including conjunctions, connectives and discourse markers.

 •information and ideas communication with some adaptation to the intended reader

- Assessment Criteria
- The portfolio is comprised of multiple assessment tasks, not tests alone.  To pass this module, students must attempt and pass all assessment tasks.
