Introduction to the Fitness Industry
To introduce students to the ethics of the fitness industry allowing the provision of a safe exercise environment. This module includes 20 hours of work based learning.

- Identify the scope of practice and code of ethics of the fitness industry.
Describe safe practices within the exercise environment.
Perform pre-screening and basic exercise testing skills to allow for exercise programme adaptation.

Lectures will be used to introduce key themes and main topics to the students. Tutorials will develop concepts further through group work, projects and online learning. The assessments will encourage reflection on important concepts taught throughout the course.

- To pass this module students must complete all assessments and accumulate an overall module mark of no less than 50
