Use sectional felling techniques requiring and not requiring rigging equipment.
Undertake a pole rescue above 10 metres in an arboriculture situation.
Supervise and provide instruction to other team members.
Content
-Identification of hazards involved in the work and the site.
-Identification and selection of suitable equipment and techniques required to complete sectional felling work.
-Use of climbing equipment to ascend and descend a clear stem of at least 10 metres.
-Strategies and procedures for work that conform with the Standards, Codes of Practice, workplace procedures, contract, and the requirements of the site.
Safe removal of sections of a tree using felling cuts.
Safe removal of sections of a tree using basic rigging equipment and rope tying techniques.
Undertaking a pole rescue above 10 metres in an arboriculture situation.
-Supervision of arboricultural crews and provision of instructions to other team members
-Professional practice attributes: sustainable practices; effective communication skills; professional and ethical behaviour; teamwork; accurate record-keeping.

Teaching and Learning Strategy
Teaching and learning methods will be face to face delivery including workshops, project based interactive tasks, with group sessions, tutorials, and creation of portfolios of evidence.
