Prescription

The purpose of this module is to enable students to conduct a case study of a learner for whom English is an additional language. They will explore a range of issues relating to language learners such as prior educational and cultural experiences, social and language factors as well as a range of individual factors. Students will also consider theories relating to language acquisition and explore the implications of these in relation to individual learners.
