"I graduated in Nursing Science with a Bachelor's degree, and after that I had an opportunity to work as a management nurse. I managed healthcare staff and I managed the clients*,that led me to be very interested in management knowledge. So, as I wanted to broaden my perspective about business and management, I decided to study a Master of Applied Management. Because my background is in nursing, I didn't have any knowledge about business before. So I applied for a longer programme which was 240 credits and took two years to study. I maintained an average B grade over the first six months and because of this, I got an opportunity to transfer from the program of 240 credits to 180 credits. So that's been helpful because instead of studying for two years, I could study for only one and a half. That really benefited me in terms of graduating faster and finding more opportunities to go into the job industry after I graduated. One of the interesting classes that I experienced in the Master of Applied Management was the Special Topic 1, which brought the industry into the class. So we engaged with the industry; we helped them to solve their problems and then we presented our solutions to them. We got real-life experience from the industry, not just theory. The Master of Applied Management at Wintec is useful and can be applied to real life and it helps you understand the real situation of the industry and the real situation at the management level. So, I can apply this in my healthcare industry, and that is useful."
