About
I have been nursing for over 30 years now and am still passionate about the profession. My nursing career has varied between paediatrics, oncology, clinical research, and palliative care.
My hobbies include my two dogs, and I have volunteered as an instructor for dog obedience training.

Research activity
My doctoral research was looking into Collaborative Practice in Palliative Care.
Current research activity includes collaborating with another staff member to understand barriers to how older Chinese immigrants access health services in New Zealand and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Chinese nurses working in New Zealand.

What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?
Working with students both in class and out in clinical practice. Watching them grow into the nursing profession, to become competent and safe nurses in class and when out in practice.
What do you love about your area?
The opportunity to work with other nurses and to be able to continue to learn, and gain new knowledge and skills after so many years in the profession.
